The Society is justly pround of its Programme of events, which contribute to the realisation of the main field of activity that relates to the Society: research, as set out in the first of its Laws. As part of its charitable status the Society is required to make the results of all its activities available to the public and thus ‘educate' in the widest sense. The monthly lectures throughout the Society year, the conferences, symposia, workshops and, of course, the publications, all make this possible. All our events are now open to non-Fellows and Fellows alike, please feel free to make others aware of our programme.
All lecture meetings start at 6.00pm in Edinburgh and 7.30pm in Aberdeen. The Anniversary Meeting (AGM) starts at 4.30pm. The venue for the Edinburgh events is the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PQ unless otherwise notified. Aberdeen events are held in the Regent Building lecture theatre, University of Aberdeen, Regent Walk, Old Aberdeen AB24 3FX. Due to the change in venues please note that lectures are on a Monday or Tuesday, with a single lecture on Wednesday in Perth to be held in Perth Museum and Art Gallery, George Street, Perth, PH1 5LB.
