The Society is justly proud of its Programme of events, which contribute to the realisation of the main field of activity that relates to the Society: research, as set out in the first of its Laws. As part of its charitable status the Society is required to make the results of all its activities available to the public and thus ‘educate' in the widest sense. The monthly lectures throughout the Society year, the conferences, symposia, workshops and, of course, the publications, all make this possible.  All our events are now open to non-Fellows and Fellows alike, please feel free to make others aware of our programme, a downloadable version is available here.

Most lecture meetings start at 6.00pm in Edinburgh and 7.30pm in Aberdeen.  The Anniversary Meeting (AGM) starts at 4.30pm in Edinburgh.

The venue for most of the Edinburgh events is the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PQ and the venue for most of the Aberdeen events is the Regent Building Lecture Theatre, Regent Walk, Aberdeen, AB24 3FX.  However, please check the individual listings for detailed information as we are holding events in Dundee, Glasgow and Inverness too.

Please note that Lecture Meetings are free and open to all to attend.
