Where the Society receives a letter that it considers would be of benefit to the rest of the Fellows and non-Fellows, we shall publish them here. We receive several letters a year, and some contain interesting information, including addenda for the Newsletter or the Proceedings or indeed the website itself. While the latter are rapidly addressed, the former are more difficult to do so, and we invite readers of the Proceedings to voice your opinion and respond to articles here. We also suggest that some of the comments made in these letters could be further discussed by Fellows in the Forum area, or responded to here.
We aim to operate an open letters page, but, like any other journal or messageboard service, we must also exercise a certain amount of control over the content of responses we receive. Thus, only those communications considered offensive, libellous or grossly inaccurate will be discarded, for an open letters page is an opportunity for all to offer opinion regardless of standing or position.
