The Panel

The Neolithic panel is underway, under the guidance of Kenneth Brophy and Alison Sheridan. The panel is examining all aspects of research connected to Neolithic Scotland.

The panel consists of: John Barber, Gordon Barclay, Kenneth Brophy, Vicki Cummings, Gavin MacGregor, Gordon Noble, Colin Richards, Julian Thomas, Rick Schulting, Alison Sheridan, Richard Tipping, and Graeme Warren.

There are also a number of 'critical friends' who provide advice and support including: Patrick Ashmore, Torben Bjarke Ballin, Richard Bradley, Gabriel Cooney, Mark Edmonds, Ann MacSween, Jane Murray, Yvan Pallier, Alan Saville, and Caroline Wickham-Jones.

 

Research Themes

The themes used to structure the panel's work are available here. A proforma can be downloaded from here that allows you to set out what you think are important research areas or questions for the panel to consider.

If there are any other areas of research that you feel should be discussed, please contact the panel at Neolithic@socantscot.org  or alternatively, use the discussion thread on the Forum. The panel recently met in December and their report will be available in Spring 2010.
