Archaeological Research in Progress 2023 – Sponsorship Opportunity

10th January 2023 | Categories: Conference

We are currently seeking support to help us deliver a quality hybrid event that gives opportunities to as wide a range of organisations and individuals as possible to present research in progress from across Scotland.  Funds will be used to support those that require an honorarium to record their research (removing any financial barriers that might inhibit participation) and the costs of hosting the event on the Saturday. The wide range of sponsorship support we normally receive towards ARP also helps to demonstrate collaboration and highlights cross-sector support for the rapid dissemination of archaeological research. Any surplus funds will be directed to supporting the following year, initially to help develop the hybrid infrastructure, and to ensure that the event becomes more self-sustaining in years to come.

Supporting the one day conference provides you with the opportunity to promote your organisation while also supporting rapid knowledge dissemination, research excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.  Sponsorship benefits include branding on the physical and digital programme and introductory and holding slides, the opportunity to present digital material on the conference event booking webpage and YouTube playlist, and supporter mentions and links in our social media promotion campaign. You can also bring promotional material to the event itself on Saturday, where we will have space for banners and tables should you wish.

Our two most viewed online videos came from ARP, with around 65-70,000 views each. Our viewers come from across the world, both to the hybrid event and to the YouTube channel, with a global reach across 43 countries. Previous advertising videos by AOC and GUARD Archaeology placed on the ARP 2021 YouTube playlist have been viewed around 600-800 times over the last year. The Battle of May Island has been viewed over 1,200 times in the same period with the Scottish Rock Art presentation over 1,300 times.

All contributions, in cash or in kind, are welcome so please do contact Andrea Kaszewski ( you would like to discuss ways you can support the 2023 ARP conference.
