Lecture given by Dr Tatiana Ivleva, School of History, Classics and Archaeology, University of Newcastle.
The lecture presents new research conducted on the Romano-British glass bangles as part of the EU-funded project ‘GLOBALGLASS: Global glass adornments event horizon in Late Iron Age and Roman-period frontiers’. The talk will provide updated information as to the arrival of craft to Britain and discuss the craft itself, presenting new findings relating to the manufacture of the objects.
