3rd Annual Craig Sharp Lecture 30th November

17th November 2021 | Categories: Event

The CRBS and RBWF are delighted to be partnering again to host the Annual Craig Sharp Memorial Lecture. This year’s event will be held online, via Zoom, between 6pm and 7.30pm (GMT) on Tuesday 30th November.

They will be joined by poet and author Shara McCallum for this year’s talk. Shara will be in conversation with Louise Welsh, author and University of Glasgow Professor of Creative Writing, discussing her recently published poetry collection No Ruined Stone (PeePal Tree Press, 2021). The collection starts with that oft-asked question ‘What if Burns did go to the West Indies in 1786?’, exploring what might have been and addressing themes relevant then and now. Afterwards, there will be a chance for attendees to participate in a question-and-answer session with Shara.

The event is free but booking is required. Full details and booking is available through their Eventbrite page.
