Welcome to our Copyright & Permissions page. Here you will find information about how to request permission to reproduce content published in our journals and books, or use materials from our collections.
If you would like to use copyright material from the Society’s journals, books or collections (including figures, abstracts and extracts) and incorporate them into new works (such as journal articles, books or book chapters, conference proceedings, posters, presentations, reports, films or newspaper articles), you will need to obtain permission.
We are only able to grant permission to reproduce material for which we hold the copyright. For material from our publications, the Society’s permission is conditional on the author also granting their consent. For any material marked as the copyright of another organisation, you must apply to the copyright holder directly.
To request permission, please complete our electronic form:
Please allow 4-6 weeks for all requests.
Please note that we are not able to provide scanning services or high-resolution images.
