Emily completed a PhD in Community Engagement in Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh in 2025 and joined the ‘Research in Action on Church Heritage’ team as Community Officer later that year. She is passionate about widening participation in archaeology and heritage and has regularly volunteered and worked in roles which engage with the public. She enjoys working with communities and understanding how they value different heritage sites in day-to-day life.
