After twenty years in public administration, Lynne took time out to complete a degree in publishing at Napier University. From 2008 she worked in the publishing arm of National Museums Scotland publishing books covering subjects such as applied art, archaeology, natural history, conservation, and Scottish history and culture. She also published a number of books in her own right. Lynne joined the Society in January 2025.

Lynne works Tuesdays to Thursdays.
