Hadrian’s Wall in our Time

13th March 2024 | Categories: Publications

On 4 April, Archaeopress will be publishing a new book on Hadrian’s Wall. It is intended to be a positive response to the cutting down of the tree in Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall. In the aftermath of this event, David Breeze invited 80 archaeological colleagues and friends to contribute about 300 words and an illustration of their favourite place on Hadrian’s Wall. The result is a fascinating insight into the affection that Hadrian’s Wall has inspired in those who study it today as well as being a snapshot in time.

Hadrian’s Wall in our time retails at £24.99 but is offered to Society members at a 20% discount which can be obtained by using the code 734920 (add the book to the basket and then apply the code prior to check out).

Attached is the flyer for purchasing the book and a sample of its contents.
