Recent Research on Scottish Pewter from 1600 to 1850

Dear Fellows,

In 2014, Dr Peter Spencer Davies FSAScot published Scottish Pewter 1600 – 1850, a comprehensive text serving as the standard reference work on a neglected area of Scottish material culture.

Cover of ‘Scottish Pewter 1600 – 1850’.

Despite the breadth of his research, the book is now out of print and rarely available. Copies which come to market are priced highly.

Fortunately, Dr Davies has donated 16 hardcopies of his book to the Society for exclusive purchase by members of our Fellowship. Originally priced at £55, Fellows may obtain a copy for £45.

If you are interested in purchasing a copy, please contact fellowship@socantscot.org with your delivery address for postage costs.

Many thanks,

Astrid Bridgwood
Fellowship & Administration Officer
