Marek Litwin ACCA

Finance Manager

Originally from Poland, Marek moved to the UK in 2004 before discovering Scotland in 2016 and making it his home. From the dramatic landscapes of Skye and Raasay to Oban and Glasgow, his journey eventually brought him to the quiet coastal town of Greenock.

Marek is an ACCA Chartered Accountant with experience across finance, hospitality and publishing. In 2008, he discovered the charity sector and has never looked back. Since then, he has contributed to organisations including the RSPB, the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions and the National Federation of Music Societies (Making Music), combining everyday financial management with a variety of projects. Marek joined the Society in 2026 as Finance Manager.

He also serves as Chair of the Finance Committee at the Federation of Scottish Theatre, supporting financial governance and sustainability. His passion for the charity sector goes beyond spreadsheets. He volunteers at RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve and with Scotblood. His credo is: everyone can make the world a little better.

Favourite heritage: Megalithic structures, brochs, and ancient Scottish stone circles
