Society of Antiquaries of Scotland responded to the consultation invitation from The Commissioners for the Safeguarding of the Regalia on the relocation of the Stone of Scone, also known as the Stone of Destiny from Edinburgh to Perth. The Society took no particular stance on whether the Stone of Destiny should be moved to Perth from its location at Edinburgh Castle, but was able to advise on the various principles that should be considered when making a decision on historic environment assets such as this, our emphasis always being on transparency.
