Dear Fellows,

Simon Davies FSAScot, Chair of Uist Community Archaeology Group, has reached out to promote Uist Archaeology Month.

Throughout August 2026, Uist Community Archaeology Group will host events open to both UCAG Members and visitors to Uist, introducing participants to the huge range and number of archaeological sites and features found throughout the archipelago. These walks, hikes, and tours include sites only identified for the first time within the previous few years, providing unique and updated insight into Uist.

Please see below for the Uist Archaeology Month calendar of events. To book, please contact ucaginfo@gmail.com.

Many thanks,

Astrid Bridgwood
Fellowship & Administration Officer
