Regional Fund Buchan Lecture
Aims to support lectures in parts of Scotland not currently served by Society meetings
The Buchan Lecture Fund was created through combining a generous donation from past Vice President of the Society, Dr Ronald G Cant FSAScot in 1981 and a Bicentenary Regional Meeting Account.
What the Fund Supports
The Society offers support from the Regional Fund to local archaeological, antiquarian, or similar societies to help fund a Buchan Lecture. Buchan Lectures may be one-off events or given as part of a larger symposium or conference. The grant can be put towards towards the costs of the lecturer’s travelling expenses, accommodation costs and any fee. The grant can also support costs such as the hire of a venue and modest hospitality etc.
