New Trustees wanted to join the Board of National Museums Scotland
National Museums Scotland is one of the leading museums groups in the UK and Europe, and cares for a collection of over 12 million items of national and international importance.
It has a key role to play as a national centre of excellence by enhancing its public services through increasing access and digital reach to its collections, both nationally and internationally, and by continuing to support the museum community across Scotland. It also contributes and supports education, research, business and innovation, and its work enhances the reputation of Scotland as a country with a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant future.
We are now looking for up to 3 new Trustees to play a key role in developing one of Europe’s premier museums groups. We are interested particularly in candidates with experience in: contributing to the development of collections; or academic research; or financial stewardship and governance; or estates development and management. Although we would welcome applications from anyone who believes they could make a strong contribution, we are seeking to broaden the diversity of the Board of Trustees to ensure it has broad geographical involvement and is more balanced in terms of protected characteristics.
Full details and application procedure can be found here.
