Fair Work Policy

Our commitment to fair work practices.

The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland is committed to adopting fair working practices across the organisation in line with the criteria set out in the Scottish Government Fair Work First Policy (https://www.gov.scot/publications/fair-work-first-guidance-2/), as part of our continuous improvement approach.

We are committed to promoting and continuously advancing fair work and working conditions for all staff.

Our Fair Work Policy states our commitment to:
– creating a place where colleagues views are sought out, listened to and acted upon
– providing learning opportunities and lifelong learning support for all employees
– support flexible and family working
– not use zero-hours contracts
– action to tackle the gender pay gap and create a more diverse and inclusive workplace
– offer flexible and family friendly working practices for all workers from day one of employment
– oppose the use of fire and rehire practice.

We are Real Living Wage Accredited.
