2024 marks the 900th anniversary of the accession of David I to the throne of Scotland.

The Forth Naturalist and Historian and the University of Stirling are holding a conference to celebrate and explore aspects of his reign, life, achievements – one of which was the foundation of the Royal Burgh of Stirling in 1124/1127 – and cultural milieu.

David I 900 – his reign, reputation and the burgh of Stirling takes place from 1 to 3 November 2024 at the University of Stirling.
