FELLOWS’ GROUP TOURS: University of Aberdeen Collections & Trinity Hall, Aberdeen
These events are exclusive to Fellows
Join us on Friday 20 March 2026 for a unique opportunity to explore two of Aberdeen’s most fascinating cultural sites.
About These Events
We will start with a behind-the-scenes tour of the University of Aberdeen Collections, led by Neil Curtis FSAScot, Head of University Collections and former Society Vice-President. Highlights include a Collections Close-Up of Jacobite material from the MacBean Collection and a visit to the exhibition Aberdeen Artworlds: The Linklater Collection.
After the morning tour, we will take a break for lunch. While lunch is not provided, we will reserve a space for the group at a nearby café, where attendees can purchase their own meals and travel by bus to the next venue.
The afternoon tour continues at Trinity Hall, facilitated by Seonaidh Baker FSAScot, and featuring one of Scotland’s finest collections of Guild artefacts spanning from the medieval period to the present day.
Important information:
- Tickets: You do not have to attend both tours, but you must reserve a ticket for each part of the day that you wish to attend (morning and/or afternoon).
- Capacity: Each tour is strictly limited to 18 participants.
- Cost: Tours are free, though voluntary donations to the venues are welcome.
Do not miss this chance to experience Aberdeen’s history, art and craftsmanship up close.
Please note: We will meet in Aberdeen on the day for this in-person tour.
